Yes. I liked this one. I liked the emphasis on the strength training followed by the Tabata or metcon. Is it normal to feel it core wise after heavy squats?? Brian
The tabata combo was interesting - 7 cleans (except for 2 rounds near the end at 6) 5 for all thrusters (except 7 on the last one). I guess I should have aimed for 6 across the board...
My scores for each tabata was 4, I think first round I did 9 cleans and 7 thrusters then was down to 4s by the 4th round and stayed there through round 8. Read that article guys if you have a chance. Basically says how the world record holder in clean & jerks didn't backsquat for 4 years in his prime, he did weighted step ups. Very interesting.

Jodi 125 130 95(4) 95(4) 95(4)
On the Tabata, the men used 115, Lisa and Stacey 65, Jodi 45. Total reps and lowest reps in any one round were observed. Total time 8 minutes.
ReplyDeleteAnyone care to comment on this combo?

Yeah Brian. Midline is stressed during all squats. Your form was good though.
